History:
The Cedar Milers Walking Club was originally chartered as The Cedar Milers Volkssports Club on July 19, 1988 in Beaverton, Oregon. The club was originally sponsored by the Cedar Hills Lions Club. The club's first walk was the Evergreen Stroll which left from the Kaiser Clinic on Evergreen Parkway when development of the area was just underway. There were 1006 participants that day! Among the original Cedar Milers were Shirley Corey, Jean Newman, Melba McFarland, Colette Stockton, Jan Jarrett, Hank and Sarah Snyder, Anna Colcord, and Sarah and LouAnn Williams.
